Dear Author, This website is truly amazing to have available for the on-growing population of Romanians who live outside of their native home and may not speak their mother’s tongue or very little of it. I, myself have moved to Canada from Romania 7 years ago, and although I have lived there for 12 years, the language and memories of my home are slowly fading as I’m adapting to a new life style and a new environment. For my mother, it is easy to remember old stories and songs or certain streets and buildings, but for myself I have high difficulty as that knowledge I once held has been replaced of streets I currently frequent and schools I attend now. It is saddening not remembering what once was, when not too long ago you knew like the palm of your hand. The life I have now is a good one, and the things I now know are beautiful, but as a Romanian native it’s harsh to lose ties to part of what makes you who you truly are. Having myself included, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for Romanians to have a home away from home where they can reconnect with their roots and learn small steps at a time about new information on Romania or simple tools to help them relearn or remember what they already know. Being a multi-cultured person is a gift and anyone should embrace all their different ethnicities… I look forward to the growth of this website, and applaud the mind behind the idea that would in one way or another reunite Romanians to their home.
